More importantly, the research shows that developers reported between 60-75% improvement in job fulfilment and helped preserve their mental energy. The research method is solid and worth a read if you manage application developers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Organisational benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key benefit is that It will help reduce the development time for applications and allow organisations to get to market faster. If you develop software within your organisation and have a cycle time of, say, six months then this technology could help you get your cycle time to between 3 and 4 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What\u2019s in it for me?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, if you are a developer then you get a lot of <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/features\/copilot\">features for your money<\/a> freeing up your time for the fun stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How long will this take?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gartner are reporting that it will take 2-5 years for this technology to reach the plateau phase where it will become \u2018business as normal\u2019. So, to imbed the adoption of Augmented-AI software development tools across the majority of organisation may well take 2 to 5 years.
